Privacy
Hearthwood collects a little anonymous information about how the game is played, so it can be fixed and improved. It never asks for your name, and you can turn it off.

What the game sends
While you play, Hearthwood sends small batches of play data about once a minute:
- A random ID made up by the game the first time it runs, and a random ID for each session. Neither is linked to you.
- The game's version, the platform (for example web or macOS), your language setting, and whether you have a touch screen.
- How the game is going: the game day, season and level you've reached, where you are in the world, how long you've played, goals you finish, and how you died if you did.
Our server sees your country from your connection. It does not store your IP address.
Feedback you send
If you use Send feedback in the pause menu, we get your note along with the same kind of details: the game's version, the day and where you are in the game. Please don't put personal details in a note.
The mailing list
If you sign up on this site, we keep your email address and your country, and use them only to write about Hearthwood: when it reaches itch.io and Steam, and occasional news. To leave, reply to any email or write to us.
Turning it off
In the game, press Esc and untick Share anonymous play data. Feedback is only sent when you choose to send it.
What we don't do
- No advertising, no ad trackers, and no selling or sharing of data.
- This site sets no cookies and loads nothing from other companies.
Where it's kept
The data is stored with Cloudflare, which runs our servers. We keep it while Hearthwood is in development. To have the play data from your game or your email address deleted, write to hello@loonlightgames.com.
Who we are
